Directions for Vegetable Yam Congee

Step 1
Prepare the ingredients, wash and peel the yam, cut into small pieces or slices (for easier cooking and digestion, cut into thin slices or small cubes).
Step 2
After washing the rice, put it into the stew pot with yam, and add an appropriate amount of water.
Step 3
Pour water into the water tank (based on the lowest water level line), cover the stew pot, plug in the power, select the “baby porridge” function key. If using other cookware at home, use a similar function key.
Step 4
After washing the carrots, finely dice them, and finely chop the spinach for later use.
Step 5
When the indicator light on the electric stew pot shows about 0.5 hours, open the lid and add the diced carrots, spinach, and a little salt. Stir with chopsticks, continue to cook for about 3 minutes, then drizzle with a few drops of sesame oil before serving.
