Steps to make lazy man steamed spare ribs

Step 1
Cut the main ingredients into pieces
Step 2
Blanch the spare ribs in cold water to remove blood. It is said that if hot water is used, the surface of the meat will cook immediately and the blood will not be removed.
Step 3
Add the powder. I didn’t do this step well, I poured the powder directly in, without stirring evenly, so some ended up tasteless. Next time, I should add the powder to another plate and roll the spare ribs in it. My cooking skills are poor, and I only had oil and salt as seasonings at home. I prefer recipes that use a seasoning pack for each dish because they are convenient and simple.
Step 4
Steam for about 30 to 40 minutes. I’m not sure if it’s because the steam oven I used didn’t have enough power, or because I covered the bowl with a plate. This time I steamed for 35 minutes, the meat was cooked, but the potatoes and carrots were still quite firm, not soft and sticky. Next time, I’ll try without covering with a plate.
Step 5
Done. The meat on the spinal bone was still a bit tough to chew, I thought that using hawthorn steamed meat powder would make any meat tender and smooth! Next time, I won’t use the front spare ribs, maybe using back ribs would be better.
