Ingredients for Sichuan-style Braised Seaweed and Beef
Rapeseed Oil 120g | Ginger 20g |
Homemade Douban Sauce 2 spoonfuls | Beef Brisket and Beef Ribs 1500g |
Light Soy Sauce 2 spoonfuls | Salt As needed |
Sugar 15g | Homemade Vegetable Seasoning Powder 10g |
Bay Leaves 3 pieces | Cinnamon 1 piece |
Oyster Sauce 1 spoonful | Dried Red Chilies 3 |
Sichuan Peppercorns 15 pieces |
Recipe for Sichuan-style Braised Seaweed and Beef

Step 1
Cut the beef brisket into large pieces, soak in water for 2 hours to remove blood
Step 2
Boil water in a pot, blanch the beef brisket Remove and rinse with hot water to remove impurities, set aside

Add more oil to the pot, put in 2 spoonfuls of homemade Douban sauce, stir-fry until reddish oil is produced (my homemade Douban sauce is not salty)

Stir-fry for a few minutes

Add ginger, bay leaves, star anise, cardamom, homemade vegetable seasoning powder and stir-fry until fragrant

Spread seaweed on the bottom of the pot, transfer the stir-fried beef into a pressure cooker, add a few dried red chilies and Sichuan peppercorns, pour in hot water

Add a little salt, oyster sauce, pressure cook the beef in an electric pressure cooker for about 30 minutes
