Recipe for Salted Cream Almond Bread

Step 1
Combine all ingredients except yeast, butter, and salt in a stand mixer. Mix on low speed until no dry flour remains, then switch to medium-high speed to knead until a rough film forms. Add yeast, salt, and butter, knead on low speed until well combined, then switch to medium-high speed to knead until the dough is smooth and elastic. Shape the dough into 10 equal portions, round them, place on a baking sheet, and let them proof until doubled in size. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 15 minutes.

Cool the bread after baking, then continue to bake the almond slices at 160 degrees Celsius for about 8 minutes. – To make old-fashioned cream: Whip butter with powdered sugar and salt until smooth and creamy. Gradually add whipping cream at around 28 degrees Celsius, whip until smooth and fluffy. Transfer the cream into a piping bag. Cut the bread in the middle without cutting through, pipe in the cream, spread evenly with a knife, decorate with almond slices, and finally sprinkle with powdered sugar.
