Red Jujube Flesh 150g | Brown Sugar 120g |
Milk 100ml | Eggs 8 |
Cake Flour 130g | Whole Wheat Flour 70g |
Baking Powder 8g | Oil 80g |
Raisins As needed | White Sesame Seeds As needed |
Instructions for Red Sugar Jujube Cake

Step 1
I bought peeled red dates, diced and cooked with brown sugar and milk on low heat until the sugar has melted.
Step 2
Cool down and add eggs, stir well.
Step 3
Whisk until fluffy.
Step 4
Whisk until tripled in size, fluffy and the trails don’t disappear for 10 seconds.
Step 5
Sift in cake flour, whole wheat flour, baking powder, mix well.
Step 6
Add oil, mix well.
Step 7
Pour into paper cups, fill 70% full.
Step 8
Sprinkle with raisins and white sesame seeds.
Step 9
Preheat the oven to 170°C.
Step 10
Bake for about fifty minutes.
Step 11
Let it cool down before serving.
