Steps for Braised Chicken

Step 1
Remove bone from chicken thigh and cut into small pieces. Alternatively, you can buy pre-cut fresh chicken thigh meat.
Step 2
Mix starch, soy sauce, and ginger evenly, marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Step 3
Cut the bell peppers into small pieces.
Step 4
Peel and cut the potatoes into small pieces and soak them in water, slice the onion.
Step 5
Heat the oil in a pan, stir-fry the onion until fragrant.
Step 6
Add the marinated chicken pieces to the pan, preferably chicken thigh meat. The yellow one is ginger.
Step 7
Then add the diced potatoes.
Step 8
Add hot water, preferably boiled hot water, pour in 1 tablespoon of yellow bean paste, 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, a little salt, adjust to medium-low heat, and simmer for at least 20 minutes, keep an eye on it to prevent burning. Once the potatoes are almost tender, add the bell peppers, cover and continue cooking for another 10 minutes.
Step 9
Reduce the sauce over high heat, leaving some broth if desired, serve hot, sprinkle with some white sesame seeds and garnish with cilantro.
