Ingredients for French Fries
Potato 1 (365g) | Cornstarch (can also use potato starch or sweet potato starch) 95g |
Salt, Sugar 2g each | Black Pepper Powder a little |
Eggs 2 | Salt a little (for soaking the potatoes) |
Water appropriate amount |
Recipe for French Fries

Step 1
Peel and wash the potatoes, cut them into finger-length strips about 1cm thick. After cutting, wash 2-3 times and then soak in salted water for 10 minutes.
Step 2
After soaking the potatoes, remove them and place them in a pot with enough water. Cook until semi-transparent, then remove and drain.
Step 3
Mix the eggs and starch together, then add the soaked potatoes. Stir well to ensure each piece of potato is coated with batter.
Step 4
Pour an appropriate amount of cooking oil into a pan, enough to cover the potatoes. Heat over low heat until 80% hot, then add the potato strips and fry until golden. Remove and drain the oil, then reheat the pan and oil until 90% hot. Fry the potato strips again for 1 minute, then turn off the heat. Once the oil stops boiling, remove the fries and drain. Place them in a container.
Step 5
After cooling, enjoy by dipping in ketchup.
