Ingredients for Fragrant Tofu:
Firm Tofu 1 block | Soybean Paste 2 tbsp |
Green Garlic 1 stalk | Scallions 1/3 stalk |
Starch 1 tbsp | Dark Soy Sauce 1 tbsp |
Light Soy Sauce 2 tbsp | Bird’s Eye Chili 1 piece |
Instructions for Fragrant Tofu:

Step 1
Break the tofu into pieces with your hands
Step 2
Cut the green garlic and scallions into sections (add green garlic leaves before serving)
Step 3
Mix soybean paste, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, bird’s eye chili, and starch with water (add a little salt if desired) and set aside
Step 4
Heat oil in a pan, fry the tofu until both sides turn slightly golden
Step 5
Pour the prepared sauce into the pan, simmer over low heat
Step 6
When the sauce is almost absorbed, add green garlic leaves and stir-fry before serving
Step 7
The delicate texture of the tofu, when perfectly combined with the fragrant sauce, will allow the flavor to penetrate the tofu completely, making it even more delicious and satisfying.
