Glutinous rice 300g | Red beans 100g |
Black rice 70g | Bamboo tube 10 pieces |
Method for Bamboo Tube Zongzi

Step 1
Wash glutinous rice, black rice, and red beans, soak for 8 hours
Step 2
Mix half of soaked glutinous rice with red beans, and the other half with black rice
Step 3
Fill the bamboo tubes with the mixed ingredients up to 9/10 full, tightly seal the opening to prevent rice from showing during cooking
Step 4
Boil in cold water for 2 hours, add more water to prevent it from boiling dry halfway
Step 5
Remove the cooked zongzi when slightly cooled
Step 6
Dip in white sugar before serving
