Fragrant, sweet, soft and glutinous bamboo tube rice dumplings

Ingredients for Bamboo Tube Zongzi

Glutinous rice 300g Red beans 100g
Black rice 70g Bamboo tube 10 pieces

Method for Bamboo Tube Zongzi

Step 1 of Bamboo Tube Zongzi

Step 1

Wash glutinous rice, black rice, and red beans, soak for 8 hours
Step 2 of Bamboo Tube Zongzi

Step 2

Mix half of soaked glutinous rice with red beans, and the other half with black rice
Step 3 of Bamboo Tube Zongzi

Step 3

Fill the bamboo tubes with the mixed ingredients up to 9/10 full, tightly seal the opening to prevent rice from showing during cooking

Step 4

Boil in cold water for 2 hours, add more water to prevent it from boiling dry halfway

Remove the cooked zongzi when slightly cooled

Dip in white sugar before serving
