Steps to Make Date Paste Cake

Step 1
Remove the core of red dates, chop them with a knife. If you have a blender, you can make them finer with a blender. Mine was broken, so I had to chop them with a knife.
Step 2
Mix glutinous rice flour, sticky rice flour, milk powder, and sugar evenly. Add an appropriate amount of water and knead into a dough. Do not add too much water at once to prevent the dough from becoming too thin. Add water slowly step by step.
Step 3
Roll the dough into small balls, flatten with your hand, place an appropriate amount of red dates, seal and roll into a ball.
Step 4
Place in a mold, press, and remove. I used a 30g mold, so the total weight of the dough and red dates should not exceed 30g. You can apply a small amount of cooking oil on the inner wall and embossed bottom of the mold for easy demolding.
Step 5
Place steaming parchment paper on the steamer, steam the date paste cakes for 10 minutes. Start timing from when the steam starts rising. After steaming, cool and remove.
Step 6
Finished product.
