Steps to Make Corn Steamed Cake

Step 1
Put corn flour, flour, and yeast in a large bowl

Gradually add room temperature water, mix into a batter, using a spoon to scoop up and drop the batter into chunk-like state

Cover the container, let it ferment for about 1 hour, the corn batter surface is covered with pores, indicating the fermentation is complete

Dice the red dates (I used pitted and peeled ones), add to the batter, then use a spoon or spatula to mix the diced dates evenly with the batter

Take a small bowl, brush the inner wall with oil

Divide the red date batter into bowls, add red date strips and sprinkle with roasted black sesame seeds for decoration

Place the bowls with batter in a steamer, start steaming with cold water, once steam comes out, steam for 20 minutes, turn off the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes before taking out

Unmold the cake and slice
