Steps to Cook Braised Vegetarian Chicken

Step 1
Wash the vegetarian chicken, drain, and cut into slices about 1 cm thick, then place on a plate and set aside.
Step 2
Prepare the garnishes and seasonings: cut green onions and cilantro into sections; mix shiitake mushrooms and black fungus according to preference; mix the seasonings – a tablespoon of sugar, a tablespoon of light soy sauce, half a tablespoon of dark soy sauce, a tablespoon of oyster sauce, a pinch of salt until well combined.
Step 3
Heat oil in a pan, fry the slices of vegetarian chicken until both sides are golden brown, then remove from the pan. If you missed taking a picture, it is recommended to soak the fried vegetarian chicken in cold water for a few minutes to achieve a crispy texture.
Step 4
Add a little oil to the pan, sauté the green onions, then add the garnishes and seasonings, pour in a small bowl of water, add the fried vegetarian chicken, adjust the water level to not exceed the level of the ingredients, bring to a boil over high heat, then simmer over low heat for 8 minutes.
Step 5
After reducing the sauce, garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro, then serve. The delicious braised vegetarian chicken is now ready to eat.
