Braised pork chops with apples

Ingredients for Apple Braised Pork Chops

Pork Shoulder 500g Kiwi 1
Apple 1 Lemon 1/2
Soy sauce 1 tbsp Dark soy sauce 3g
Garlic 1 clove Brown sugar 1 tbsp
Black pepper 1 tbsp Onion 1/2
Cinnamon stick 1 piece Cooking wine 1 tbsp

Steps for Apple Braised Pork Chops

Cut thick slices of pork shoulder and score the meat, marinate in kiwi, salt, black pepper, minced garlic, and oil for 10 minutes.

Prepare the apple and onion, then heat oil in a pan and sear the marinated pork chops until 70-80% cooked. Set aside.

Sauté minced garlic and onion in the remaining oil, add cinnamon sticks, and arrange the apple slices.

Place the seared pork chops back into the pan, add light soy sauce, brown sugar, and a little dark soy sauce.

Add hot water, cover the pan and simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
