Steps for Braised Pomfret

Step 1
Cut the partially thawed pomfret into pieces
Step 2
Remove the internal organs, wash clean, and drain the water
Step 3
Prepare the seasonings
Step 4
Heat the pot slightly, pour in Grandma’s Hometown Cold-Pressed Rapeseed Oil, stir-fry the green onion sections, garlic, ginger slices, dried chili, cinnamon stick, and star anise until fragrant
Step 5
Add light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and stir-fry until fragrant
Step 6
Pour in hot water, add salt and rock sugar
Step 7
Add the fish pieces, cooking wine, and bring to a boil over medium heat
Step 8
Cover and simmer on low heat until the sauce thickens, then serve
