Ingredients for Braised Pig’s Trotters
Pig’s Trotters 4 pieces | Green Onion As needed |
Ginger Slices 5 slices | Star Anise 1 piece |
Cinnamon 1 small piece (5g) | Bay Leaves 3 pieces |
Yellow Wine 4 teaspoons (20ml) | Soy Sauce 5 teaspoons (25ml) |
Dark Soy Sauce 2 teaspoons (10ml) | Rock Sugar 4 teaspoons (20g) |

Steps to Make Braised Pig’s Trotters

Step 1
After blanching the pig’s trotters, set aside. Heat some oil in a wok, add rock sugar and stir continuously until it melts and turns into a dark brown color. Add the pig’s trotters and stir-fry evenly.
Step 2
Add a suitable amount of warm water, cooking wine, green onion, ginger, and other seasonings. The water should just cover the pig’s trotters. Pressure cook for 30 minutes after the cooker starts whistling.
Step 3
After 30 minutes, turn off the heat, release the pressure, and transfer to a serving dish. The trotters should be soft and boneless.
