Steps for Apple Braised Pork Chops

Step 1
Cut thick slices of pork shoulder and score the meat, marinate in kiwi, salt, black pepper, minced garlic, and oil for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Prepare the apple and onion, then heat oil in a pan and sear the marinated pork chops until 70-80% cooked. Set aside.
Step 3
Sauté minced garlic and onion in the remaining oil, add cinnamon sticks, and arrange the apple slices.
Step 4
Place the seared pork chops back into the pan, add light soy sauce, brown sugar, and a little dark soy sauce.
Step 5
Add hot water, cover the pan and simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Step 6
Add a few drops of lemon juice or apple cider vinegar for extra flavor.
Step 7
Slice the pork chops, plate, and serve.
