Ingredients for Garlic Steamed Sea Bass
Sea Bass 1 piece | Garlic 1.5 cloves |
Onion 1/2 | Ginger 1/2 piece |
Potato 1 | Kelp several pieces |
Bean Sprouts 50g | Oyster Sauce 2 tablespoons |
Light Soy Sauce 1 tablespoon | Dark Soy Sauce 1/4 tablespoon |
Salt 1/2 teaspoon | Ground Black Pepper 1 tablespoon |
Recipe for Garlic Steamed Sea Bass

Step 1
Clean the fish, add some salt and black pepper, marinate with ginger julienne for about 20 minutes, then coat with cornstarch.
Step 2
Sauté garlic and ginger slices, then place them at the bottom of the pot.
Step 3
Add kelp to the pot.
Step 4
Add bean sprouts and other ingredients.
Step 5
Add oil, pan-fry the fish on both sides until golden brown.

Place the fish in a clay pot.

Chop one clove of garlic, sauté until slightly golden in the same pan used for frying the fish, add 250ml hot water, 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce, 1/4 tablespoon of dark soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of black pepper, simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Pour the prepared garlic sauce into the clay pot, cover and simmer for about 5 minutes.
