Rice as needed | Mustard Greens a handful |
Cooked Meat Braised | Light Soy Sauce to taste |
Salt to taste | Sugar optional |
Chili Powder optional | Oil as needed |
Recipe for Braised Pork with Mustard Greens Rice

Step 1
Heat oil in a pan and add half of the chopped mustard greens (or any other leafy vegetables without strong flavor).
Step 2
Saute until softened, then optionally add sugar, salt, and coarse black pepper to season the vegetables.
Step 3
Add water based on the amount of rice and personal preference, then add the braised pork. Bring to a boil, taste for seasoning, and be careful of splattering.

If needed, adjust the seasoning. Place the washed and soaked rice in the pot.

Bring to a boil again, then cover and simmer over low heat until the rice is cooked (around 10 minutes).
Step 6
Add the remaining chopped mustard greens or tender vegetable hearts. Cover and let the water evaporate until the vegetables change color.
Step 7
Turn off the heat and let it rest for a while, then stir well before serving as desired.
